Drummer Hoff- Caldecott Winner 1968

This book starts explaining that "Drummer Hoff fired it off" and then goes to another character, explains what they do, then adding it on to "Drummer Hoff fired it off." It just keeps adding and adding on, similar to the Christmas Song, "12 Days of Christmas." I feel that this book was not very entertaining, and did not really grab my attention. I did like, however, that I feel that if I read it to a class, they would be able to pick up on the pattern, and read along with me. The illustrations are neat, because I can tell they are from the 60s, and thats what makes this book unique. I do not really find them appealing, but I like how they are old fashioned.
